What do I do if I already have my own meter service providers?

All UK business electricity meters must have the following services in place:

  • Meter Operator (MOP): Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing your electricity meter. If there’s ever an issue with the meter, the MOP is in charge of fixing it.

  • Data Collector (DC): Responsible for retrieving and validating your meter readings, then passing the data to the Data Aggregator.

  • Data Aggregator (DA): Combines all your usage data from the Data Collector and prepares it for billing, settlement, and reporting purposes within the energy industry.

When you contract a meter with us, we’re required to appoint our default service providers - unless you already have direct contracts in place with your own providers.

If you hold direct contracts with a MOP, DC, or DA provider, you can upload them directly in your tem portal:

  1. Log in and go to the Account page

  2. Select the Management tab

  3. Click Direct MOP/DC/DA contracts

  4. Find the relevant site and click Upload new document

  5. Upload your contract (PDF) and select which services it covers — MOP, DC, DA, or a combination

  6. Click Submit

If one contract covers all three services, upload it once and tick all three. If the same contract applies to all sites, tick Apply for all sites before submitting.

Once submitted, your contract will show as In review.

When our team has processed it, you'll receive a confirmation email and the status updates in your portal. If there's an issue with the document, we'll be in touch directly.

If a contract expires, you'll see an Expired status in your portal - you can upload a new one at any time.

If something doesn't look right on your account, get in touch at [email protected] and we'll get it sorted.
