Smart meters normally send readings automatically every half hour. But sometimes, a site visit is needed to keep your data accurate. This can happen when:
Your meter is in a no-signal area. In these cases, a technician needs to visit the site to download your data and upload it manually.
There’s a temporary fault with your meter. If a larger repair is needed, we’ll manually collect data to make sure your bills stay accurate while the fix is underway.
If it’s a temporary issue, it shouldn’t happen often. Once the repair or reconnection is complete, your data will start flowing again automatically.
