Why is my invoice based on a forecast?

In order to pay you accurately, we need your generation data for the month. Your meter is maintained by a Meter Operator (MOP) and read by a Data Collector/Data Aggregator (DC/DA). A reading can go missing when the meter has a physical fault, there's a temporary communications problem, the meter sits somewhere with poor signal, or the reading isn't passed down the chain to us.

When data stops arriving:

  • If we manage your metering arrangement, we raise the issue with our supply partner, who works with the meter operator or data collector responsible to press for a fix.

  • If you hold your own contract with your MOP/DC/DA, you are best placed to raise the question with them directly.

We know it matters that you're paid on time. Instead of making you wait, we pay you 50% of forecast, and correct it once your data arrives.
