Before you sign — quotes released before 23 March 2026 & Renewable Exchange generators
If your quote was released before 23 March 2026, or you came to us through Renewable Exchange, you'll need to sign a contract variation to receive your RED Plus earnings. This is a straightforward addition to your existing RED contract. We'll guide you through each step — nothing complicated, and nothing unexpected.
If you have multiple MPANs or contract periods, each one is tracked as a separate application. You may receive more than one signing request.
Once everything is confirmed, your RED+ rate is backdated to the start date on your contract variation, so you won't miss out on any earnings.
Payment follows the same self-billing process as your standard RED contract. You don't need to invoice separately.
Generators joining from 23 March 2026 onwards
From 23 March 2026, we added an additional RED Plus schedule into the RED contract that automatically opts generators into P442. This means we can move you to a different scheme or change the businesses linked to your consumption if needed without asking you to sign a new variation each time.
You'll always be notified automatically when this happens and have the right to object within 2 days — though opting out may reduce your earnings.
